These are not my words, or my thoughts but the key summing up phrase from a new film called “War of Redemption”. The fascinating thing is that the producers of the film are orthodox Jewish rabbis, Jeremy Gimpel, and Ari Abramowitz.
Tuly Weisz founder of Israel 365 in his new book Universal Zionism, said that until recently, Christian Zionism and Jewish Zionism were in two isolated silos, but as they come together in a common desire to fulfil God’s Word and destiny, united, we are a force to be reckoned with he declared. He goes on to say Jewish Christian relationships have never been as important as they are now.
Christian Zionism under threat
The enemy knows this, so in recent times coming from unexpected quarters like Tucker Carlson, there has been a deliberate attempt to divide Christian support for Israel and the Jewish people. Christian Zionism has the great support in general from the evangelical world while some, such as the official World Council of Churches, see this as a damaging theology. So, what in essence is Christian Zionism? Well let’s look at the Wikipedia’s view, “Christian Zionism is a Christian religious–political ideology that supports the return of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel, viewing this return as a fulfillment of biblical prophecy and a necessary step before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Christian Zionists believe that the modern State of Israel (established in 1948) is part of God’s prophetic plan. Many see Jewish Sovereignty in the Holy Land as a prerequisite for end time events described in the Bible”

A renaissance of Jewish thinking on end time events
Christian circles for centuries have been declaring the importance and imminence of end times theology. It’s been a major topic on Christian podcasts and sermons from the pulpit. However, it has never been a major topic in Jewish circles until now.
Rabbi Pesach Wolicki, noted author and public speaker said recently, that medieval rabbis such as Maimondes and others prophesied that at the “end times” there would be a gathering together of Jews and Christians. I have read about this many times in the past, Pesach said, but it has never registered with me until now.

More and more Jews are now starting to talk about end times. Coupled with this is a significant move among young Israelis to become more “religious” and traditional. The critics would say this is brought about by national trauma and demographic shift, but I firmly believe there is a spiritual dimension to this that cannot be denied.
This trend represents a unique sociological inversion compared to most Western countries, where younger generations have become more secular than their parents, in Israel the reverse is true.
Yes, rabbis Gimpel and Abramowitz have it right, Israel is awakening.
Yes, there is still a long way to go and there are no doubt many questions arising in many minds.
Perhaps it is time to put our questions and doubts to one side, step back and see what God is doing in our day, as the wind begins to blow in the mulberry trees.
