Yesterday Israel faced a second attack from Iran, with 181 missiles being fired at Israel. Thankfully, there was minimal damage, and some credit this to Israel’s advanced defense system. However, we believe it was the God of Israel Who powerfully protected the nation.

In Deuteronomy, Abraham is referred to as a wandering Aramean. Portions of the Old Testament are written in Aramaic, the language spoken by the common people of Galilee. Jesus himself spoke Aramaic. To this day, Arameans continue to live in the Middle East, including in Israel, where they form a small minority.

There is often talk of minorities in Israel facing discrimination or even apartheid. How do the Arameans experience this? Joining us in the studio is Shadi Khalloul, an Aramean Christian from Israel’s oldest Christian community. He is dedicated to building bridges between Christians and Jews.

Over the course of his career, he has made significant contributions to understanding the complexities of the Arab-Israeli conflict, Islamic movements, and the broader geopolitics of the Middle East.

Known for his fluency in Arabic and deep knowledge of the region’s history, Kedar has appeared on major Arab media platforms, offering unique insights into current events and regional dynamics. His work emphasizes the importance of understanding the internal politics of Arab states and how these influence their relations with Israel and the West. Kedar is also a proponent of innovative solutions to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, such as advocating for the establishment of Palestinian Emirates rather than a single Palestinian state.
