The October–November edition of Israel & Christians Today brings together current affairs, Biblical teaching, historical perspective and moving stories from Israel and the wider Jewish world. At its heart is the question of how Christians can better understand Israel and world events through the lens of Scripture, beginning with the cover article “Israel—A Blessing for the Nations”, which reflects on the continuing significance of Israel and God’s covenant promises.
This edition tackles some of today’s most significant and contested issues, including modern antisemitism and “blood libels”, settlement trade restrictions, Israel’s strategic position following the events of 7 October, and the historical and cultural foundations of Jewish indigeneity. It also offers a different glimpse of Israeli society through a story of Jewish and Arab medical professionals working side-by-side in Israel’s hospitals.
Readers will also discover Biblical reflections on the Feast of Tabernacles, Zionism, Israel’s place within the Biblical story and the Church’s relationship with the Jewish people. Alongside these articles are inspiring stories of practical support—including Aliyah from Ukraine, care for Holocaust survivors and initiatives helping young Israelis recover from the trauma of war.
Together, these stories offer readers an opportunity to learn, reflect, pray and respond as they deepen their understanding of Israel, the Jewish people and the unfolding events of our time.
