Feeding Hope in the Midst of Crisis
In the heart of Ukraine, amidst the echoes of conflict, we launched a life-saving mission to deliver 13,000 emergency food parcels. Though winter has passed, the crisis endures, leaving many in dire need. Each parcel, costing approximately $25 AUD, provides essential nourishment to Holocaust survivors, vulnerable families, and the elderly. Your support is crucial. Natalya’s Story:
A life of Faith
Becuase of your support of Christians for Israel, 86-year-old Natalya, a Holocaust survivor, has finally made Aliyah her reality with a poem in her suitcase and prophecy on her lips.
Natalya’s Journey: A Life of Faith
Surviving the Holocaust
Natalya was born in 1938 in Novgorod-Volynskyi, Ukraine, and is officially recognised as a Holocaust survivor. When World War II broke out, she and her mother were deported by cargo train to Uzbekistan. Tragically, her younger brother and grandmother died during the journey. The memories of hunger, illness, and loss still bring pain when Natalya speaks of those times.
Building a Life After War
Despite her difficult beginnings, Natalya built a remarkable life. She became an outstanding teacher, lecturing at the University of Agriculture. She married, raised two children, and is now a proud grandmother of five.
A Delayed Dream
Israel had always been in Natalya’s heart, but something always seemed to prevent her from moving there. In 2021, she finally received her visa and planned to make Aliyah with her son’s family. But just before the move, she suffered a serious fall and broke her spine—forcing yet another delay.
Fulfilment of Prophecy
Then came the war in Ukraine in 2022. Her son worked tirelessly to gather paperwork and documents to help his mother. In early 2025, they travelled to Kishenov and from there, finally made the journey to Israel in February. At the farewell, Natalya read aloud a poem she had written long ago about Israel—a heartfelt tribute to the land she had always loved.
“By heart she recited Jeremiah 31, reminding us of God’s promises coming true before our eyes.”
✨ Why This Matters
Natalya’s Aliyah is more than a relocation—it’s a prophetic homecoming decades in the making. She is the true hero of this story: a survivor, a teacher, a mother, and a woman of faith.
Thank you for making stories like Natalya’s possible. Your support helps Holocaust survivors like her live out their final chapter in peace, dignity, and fulfilment of God’s promises.

Igor & Elena's Story
Chernobyl to the Jordan Valley
After 38 years of doubt and delay, they finally made Aliyah at 60 and 54 years old—thanks in large measure to the kindness and generosity of support from people like you.
Igor & Elena: From Chernobyl to the Jordan Valley
A Lifetime of Waiting
Aliyah is never an easy decision—especially later in life. Igor and Elena, from Poltava, Ukraine, were 60 and 54 when they finally left everything behind to begin again in Israel. It took 38 years of dreaming, doubting, and praying before they could finally make the move.
The Shadow of Chernobyl
In 1986, Igor was one of the liquidators sent to respond to the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. The radiation exposure devastated his health and left him uncertain whether he’d ever be strong enough to support a family in a new land.
As time passed, their sons made Aliyah—one became a programmer in Petah Tikva, the other joined the IDF. With their children now building lives in Israel, Igor and Elena found the courage to take the next step themselves.
A New Start with First Home in the Homeland
They reached out to the First Home in the Homeland program and were soon welcomed into the warm embrace of Kibbutz Ashdot Yaakov. Everything was prepared—the apartment was ready, paperwork handled, and loving volunteers helped them at every turn.
“From our first day, we were surrounded with care. We knew we were finally home.”
✨ Why This Matters
Igor and Elena overcame extraordinary odds. They are proof that it’s never too late to walk in God’s promises—and your support made that possible.
Thank you for helping families like theirs find safety, belonging, and blessing in the land of Israel.

The Bitterman Family:
A Perfect Match in the Desert
They flew halfway around the world from Brazil to Israel—and just in time to welcome a miracle born on Tu BiShvat. A testament to the generous supporters of Christians for Israel,
The Bitterman Family: A Perfect Match in the Desert
A Journey Across Continents
Rafael, Fernanda, and their daughter Liana left Brazil with one goal: to start a new life in the land of their Jewish heritage. In 2023, they made Aliyah and were welcomed into Kibbutz Revivim through the First Home in the Homeland program.
Though they could have lived with family in the city, they chose the kibbutz life for a smoother integration—especially for Liana’s schooling and their own Hebrew studies.
Building a New Life
Rafael was a physiotherapist, and Fernanda worked as a nurse in Brazil. In Israel, they embraced the challenges of starting from scratch—Rafael now works at the local supermarket, and Fernanda joined the kibbutz kindergarten team. They focused intently on learning Hebrew and building community.
“We flew halfway around the world to feel at home. And we do.”
Their daughter Liana thrived at the local school, and even though she spoke only Portuguese at first, she was speaking Hebrew within weeks—making friends and finding her place.
A Miracle in the Desert
In February 2025, their second daughter, Tamari, was born—on Tu BiShvat, the Jewish New Year for Trees. Her name, meaning “Date” in Hebrew, was a tribute to the holiday and to life flourishing in the Promised Land.
“We dressed as M&Ms for Purim a month later—now a family of four, at home in the land of freedom.”
✨ Why This Matters
The Bittermans’ story is about planting roots, raising a family, and building a future with joy. You helped make that possible.
Thank you for helping families like the Bittermans feel at home, find purpose, and thrive in Israel.

The Resnik Family:
Surviving the October 7 Attacks
The Resnik Family: Surviving The October 7 Attacks
A Dream Begins
Ekaterina and Dmitry Resnik made Aliyah from Russia with their three children in August 2023. Excited and full of hope, they joined the First Home in the Homeland program and were warmly welcomed by the Kibbutz Or HaNer community in southern Israel.
Their children started school, the parents began learning Hebrew, and the family was adjusting beautifully to their new life—until everything changed.
Terror at the Border
On October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorists launched a brutal attack on nearby Israeli communities. The Resniks were forced to take shelter as violence erupted around them. The next day, they were evacuated to Tveria, where they lived for four months in temporary housing, followed by an extended stay at a hotel in Jerusalem.
Rebuilding After Trauma
After months of uncertainty, they were finally allowed to return to their kibbutz. Because of the disruption, their participation in the First Home program was extended.
Today, Dmitry works as an engineer at a local factory. Ekaterina bakes part-time for the kibbutz. Their children are back at school, and the family has fallen in love with their new home.
“Despite everything, this is our place. This is where we belong.”
✨ Why This Matters
The Resniks embody strength, faith, and endurance. They made Aliyah in peace and stayed through war. You helped them rebuild.

Vladimir & Tatyana’s Story: Their Long Journey Home
A Legacy of Holocaust Survival
On April 4th, 2025, Vladimir and Tatyana finally made Aliyah and began their new life in Israel. Both come from families profoundly impacted by the Holocaust. Their relatives survived ghettos, deportations, and immense trauma—yet their stories are also ones of strength and restoration.
Family Across Generations
Their daughter had made Aliyah many years earlier through the Na’aleh youth study program and was followed by other family members, including Tatyana’s parents. Yet Vladimir and Tatyana stayed behind in Ukraine to care for Vladimir’s elderly father—who lived to an incredible 104 years.
Over the years, their daughter’s gentle insistence stayed with them:
“If you want to be close—you’ll have to move to Haifa. I’m not coming back to Ukraine. Israel is my home now.”
A Bold Decision to Leave
Eventually, they made the decision to go. On April 3rd, they travelled from Ukraine to Kishenov, Moldova. The following day, they boarded a flight to Israel, joining other families and finally coming home.
✨ Why This Matters
Vladimir and Tatyana are a powerful picture of generational healing. From Holocaust survival to family reunification in Israel—they represent hope, resilience, and fulfilment of God’s promises.
Thank you for standing with families like theirs. Your support helps make these homecomings possible.

Gavriah Tafra: From Ethiopia to the Driver’s Seat
A Dream Deferred, A Door Opened
Gavriah Tafra, 41, made Aliyah from Ethiopia in 2023. Like many Ethiopian Jews, his journey was long—not just in distance, but in years of struggle and waiting for the opportunity to come home.
He never attended school growing up. From a young age, he had to work to help provide for his family. But even as he worked hard to survive, Gavriah carried one dream in his heart:
“I always wanted to be a bus driver.”
The Opportunity of a Lifetime
In Israel, Gavriah was accepted into a Public Transportation Bus Drivers’ Course, part of a vocational training program supported by Christians for Israel and The Jewish Agency.
Despite having no formal education, Gavriah applied himself wholeheartedly. He studied, practised Hebrew, and began to believe—maybe for the first time—that he could succeed.
“The Hebrew is tough, but I’m learning to overcome the language barrier. This course is changing my life.”
A Future with Purpose
Today, Gavriah is on track to become a licensed public transport driver in Israel. He is proud, hopeful, and deeply thankful.
✨ Why This Matters
Gavriah’s story is about breaking cycles, reclaiming dignity, and discovering purpose. You helped him believe in himself and in the future.

The Kratz Family: Escaping Antisemitism to Find Home in Israel
Fleeing the Shadows of Europe
Robin and Judith Kratz, along with their young child, made Aliyah from Austria after facing a painful surge in antisemitism. What once felt like home had grown hostile. Synagogues were vandalised. Their child faced subtle but real exclusion. Fear was rising—and so was resolve.
“We knew it was time. Israel is our true home.”
A New Beginning in the Homeland
The Kratz family joined the First Home in the Homeland program and were placed at Kibbutz Revivim, a community designed to help new immigrants transition gently and successfully into Israeli life.
There, they found support, language learning, friendship, and a safe space to rebuild. Their child started school. Robin and Judith began Hebrew studies and slowly adapted to their new environment.
Healing and Hope
Leaving Austria was not easy, but what they’ve found in Israel is peace, safety, and belonging. It’s more than a relocation—it’s a spiritual homecoming.
“Here, we don’t have to hide who we are. We’re home.”
✨ Why This Matters
The Kratz family chose faith over fear, and today they are flourishing. You gave them the means to start again in dignity and hope.
Thank you for helping Jewish families escape hatred and find safety, love, and life in the land of their fathers.
